INTRODUCTION:	MISSION:
The New Zealand Halal Slaughtermen Union Incorporated (NZHSU) is the First Trade Halal Union in the world. It was established on the 16^th September 2004. Since its inception the Union has been very busy addressing the New Zealand Halal Slaughtermen needs. The immediate issues which had to be addressed, were: to ensure the religious and working rights of the Muslim Slaughtermen; to see that the Slaughtermen are professionally trained; to provide in service training to upgrade their skills; to fulfill the employment shortage of the meat industry from within the country; to maintain religious and social support and to encourage a positive contribution towards New Zealand economy.	To manage and supervise Halal Industry in New Zealand according to the Islamic faith and create greater efficiency for the good of New Zealand and its Muslim community
	VISION:
	To assist in the creation of a progressive New Zealand Halal Industry by having well trained and professionally equipped Halal Workers with a firm bases in the Islamic principles.

CLIENT'S CHARTER

To act as an agency in providing the New Zealand Halal Industry with professional Halal Slaughtermen. To also ensure that the Halal Slaughtermen’s needs are well managed through coordination and providing improvement in Islamic education, research, training and socio-economic development.

Providing training in a planned, integrated and professional manner according to priorities and current needs.

Develop, Coordinate & Design the Training programs.

Monitoring the Training program and its implementation according to schedules.

Preparing a monthly newsletter to keep the Halal Slaughtermen and the community updated of the current and future activities of the Union.

Maintain and Develop an interactive New Zealand Halal Slaughtermen Union's website

Maintain an up to date email list of the Union members

Provide various religious and social Programmes for the Halal Slaughtermen.

Publishing and distributing books, magazines and pamphlets as required
