NZ Halal Regulation -Overseas Market Access Requirements for Halal Assurances

 

The Halal Notice 2010 defines the competent Halal Slaughter person as "means a Muslim person who has been assessed as competent to NZQA 25926 and 25927 standards for the purposes of performing halal slaughter at approved halal premises in accordance with this notice. Halal checker has the same meaning."
